vacuum forming while cooling The Vacuum Thermoforming process is used to put a permanent pattern or shape on PVC film and sheet. The trick is to impart the pattern without damaging the material. The sheet is heated with infrared to its forming temperature and drawn into shape using vacuum to form the material stretched over a temperature-controlled, single-surface mold. We have designed and built our own vacuum forming equipment and tooling in house that has been used for the last 15 years to form 6' x 7' parts on a daily basis. The process ends after the formed sheet is held against the mold surface unit until cooled. The formed part is trimmed from the sheet. Off fall scrap material is sold to recyclers were it is re-ground and later blended with virgin vinyl and processed into usable sheet.

preparation for vacuum forming We specialize in vacuum forming heavy gauge PVC film and have 15 years of experience producing tens of thousands of large patterns 6' x 7' in size like top of a king size mattress.
